Oh.. no wonder.. didn't see clearly ..so it is due to over compression... at least now better.. not just the cloud were grainy..even the building also looks quite bad---i mean those with high compression..
Can tell us what is the Aperture /ISO and Shutter speed you were using?

Can tell us what is the Aperture /ISO and Shutter speed you were using? Tried with various f stop... but mainly f/11 and f/22.. but most of the f/22 did not make it.. underexposed.. ISO 100 all the way....

If you are using 5D, my suggestion is you try iso400 and iso800, and F/8. I don't recommend iso100 for night shoot. Your exposure - try to keep it around 6secs- this may help minimize chances of vibration. If the wind is strong, then its difficult. As for cars passing by... shorter duration means you kenna a lorry/bus passing by is less. With 5D, you can actually use iso1600, shutter speed 1/40secs , f/5.6 handheld and street shoot at Chinatown.. I have seen great night shots with 5D at iso1600.

Hiya - I'm going out for a shoot this evening around the Esplande / Ben Shears Bridge.
Where did you take these shots?
Do I stand on the Esplande side, from a boat or on the opposite side of the river?
Thanks!

Hi Manda, Sorry just saw your question.. guess it too late to tell U where the spot is now.. anyway it on the Benjamin Shears Bridge.. that is on the highway looking towards the Esplande. Hope you found a good spot today for your shoot.. Cheers

Thanks ... found a spot under the bridge!
I spotted ppl walking across the bridge so I'll scout during the day for the path leading on the bridge another time.
