The Church of the Good Shepherd is made of wood and stone. It was built in 1935 as a memorial to the pioneers of the Mackenzie Country. It is siutated in the beautiful Mackenzie country, Lake Tekapo. The church is an easy drive of 2.5 - 3 hours from the South Island city of Christchurch, New Zealand. The Church of the Good Shepherd can seat up to 60 people. Outside the church, you can see clear uninterrupted view of Lake Tekapo and the spectacular Southern Alps mountain range beyond.
