deswitch: hard to confirm timing to go with steve sometimes. so far haven't shoot macro with him yet steve is very nice. of course he'll teach when one approached him fumiryu: i use only manual focus for macro. sometimes manual means moving myself back and forth, not adjusting the focus ring on the lens keke That is how we focus most of the time when we shoot macros. By moving our body its easier to focus becos our mind automatically tels us its further or nearer. Its our built in AF. Normally I will focus to minimum focus and use my body movement to focus. Pratice this a few times and soon you will learn to balance yourself properly and even stabalize yourself.

yup.... got to move body to and fro from the subject that we are shooting.... for my case, if i cant focus on a subject like within a certain time, i would take a break...rest my eyes for a while then i try to focus again.. cos if i continue ahh....my vision tends to be blur liao hehe
maybe my skill level not there yet... practise and practise.. yeah

To cola480: I only tried to shoot flowers once, during the recent outing on Good Friday and 28degree advised me to use manual focus. Reason is that autofocus cannot focus. When you use your macro lens, are you able to use autofocus? To Deswitch: May I know, how do you know that stevewhy knows "bug language"? Did you see him conversing to the bugs in "bug language"? To stevewhy: Please verify what Deswitch had just said, about the "bug language". If you really know, then please impart them to us, don't be selfish woh. Hahaha... you believed there are such guy on earth, have fun shooting "MACRO" fumiryu We belief Steve know bug language cos the bugs will stay still for him to shoot. ;D I dont want to rob his rice bowl, now trying to learn bird language which I think is easier. ;D ;D
