fortune telling in Singapore was quite common in the olden days... now he just sits there...bored maybe a conversation or two with the security guards or to feed his parrot

ER.... i had not even shot street before so how to give comments. Overall from my point of view, it looks soft with stray reflection (on chair) Contrast should be pushed up a bit. Composition wais maybe to potray emptiness, you should include more space. the man looks cramped into the photo. more room above the head will be better as it gives him some breathing space.

I like this shot (I've taken a similar one).
To make it even better, try and wait till the subject is looking at the camera - its all about eyes!
Saying that, when I used my own advice, the guy just walked off and left me looking at the bird!

hahaha err picture wise... how to improve??? my point of view of street shot is "to capture the moment " which if done correctly would result in a piece of ART.. my 2 cents Negatives - zoom in more.. (chair distracting) - pick a more parallel angle (this one to slant) - picture soft - "pose of the subject" not ideal.. agree with Manda.. but cause this is shot locally .. being a local we have a little bit of constraint shooting local subjects. But if in a foreign country (that is we are tourist) then is become easier.. It like everyone expect a tourist to be shooting everything that move. TIPS : next thing doing street shots.. dress and act like a tourist.. you be surprise what you can get away with.. ;D Positive - Red wall contrast .. very nice - you did not get scolded for taking snap shoots.. hahaha but all that said it is easier say than done.. so overall .. bro good job.. clap clap

Singaporeans like to give you the "shoot me for what" stare if i wait for the eye contact thing.. sigh..

That's a nice picture. What i feel, it will be excellent perfected if it's taken with his patron asking him his/her fortune.
