Good take. This story would be better if you could interview him. (you need to pay him some $$$ lah) How did he landed in such plight and what help is he getting. Looks like he either got a bad accident or was involved in gang fights during his younger days.
Increase the contrast slightly would be better in my opinion.

Hey Netbaby,
As what Deswitch mentioned on the contrast level, ka ka lai... push the contrast to the max and boost the saturation.
Remove all the blue and green, push up yellow and red. You will see a unique post processing style.
I did it always in most of my creative shots.

Something like that for #2. You need to trial and error to get it right. This is what i done many weeks back when i was invited by deswitch to his "office" in Suntec. High contrast imaging with no blues and greens High contrast imaging with no greens but keep blue and push red

Btw, all the shots were taken in RAW format and edited from RAW using Aperture.
