Oh!! Need to correct somthing... This is common kingfisher, not white-throated ... It is a migratory bird, not so 'common' in singapore ...*information from starrynight, AWA*

Ya, i'm sore for missing this outing. Of all time the CKF is spoted when I'm not around. This fella had been evading me since its stop here around 2 months ago. Only saw it once in SBWR for a few seconds. so far no shot yet. One of these day i will go all out to hunt for this fella. Camo gear and overnight camping gears will be out..
Watch out for the Revenge of Deswitch

by the way, I was very lucky to catch this fella...actually i also dun know there is a kingfisher at that area. Yesterday, I was ventured on my own away from the group, dun get misunderstood, I am not dao, just that all were shooting marcos and my gears was for birding...happened to walk on this wooden bridge between the big and small pond...WOW...this fella just rested on the curved stalk...for the next 10-15 minutes, its flew away & back & pose & flew & back & dive into water for its breakfast..."mai tu liao lah"...I wll go back for this fella again, hoping to catch the action when its dive into the water...

i was informed that this fella was at the "place" but I didnt make an efort to go there as its a bit far for me. My other location have sightings but so far have not seen him yet. This morning I saw 3 white throated perching on a fence and a colared KF nearby. Sometimes when you dont haveyr camera with you, they come out and tease you.
