The Collared Kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris) is the most common Kingfisher in Singapore. It is also known as the White-collared Kingfisher or Mangrove Kingfisher. Collared Kingfishers breed in Singapore.

ahh! this bird.. i remembered once it flew straight into the ceiling fan in my secondary school canteen and landed beside me. Thought it was dead, but it flew away once i tried to touch it

yr New setup looks good for birding.. Which TC are you using? I was told the latest batch of 2X TC from canon is good.
