Price of EOS 1D mk III is out for in U.S. after Japan.
In U.S. , it is selling at US$4,499.95. Shipping cost is US$95.97 by UPS. Total cost = US$4,595.70.
~ Exchange rate = S$1.53 = US$1 = US$7,031.42. If you use credit card, then the rate would be worst off.
Therefore, I personally feel that there is no point of buying from overseas. Support local dealers better.

Checked with Cathay Photo MS, they also said S$6999. But as long as the camera is not out for sale, we don't know the exact Singapore pricing.

Yes, I agree, it is a rare piece of gem. However, I am still looking at 1 series full frame. I should standby my wallet for the 1Ds Mk 3 instead of this one. Or perhaps if money and situation permits, get a second hand 1Ds Mk 2 to "play" first.

The new toy has finally reached our shore.
Selling price is around $6,450.
Therefore, it is more like the same price in U.S. or Japan. Hence, there is little incentive to buy from overseas. Canon has begun to adjust the prices to close up the gap.

This fast camera cannot focus properly. So keep rate is lower than that of it's predecessors, despite their lower frame rate.
