Rumours after romours in the Internet space for months, the truth is finally out. Apparently, the latest closest leaked photo was from this website where the photographer met a Canon photographer in Kenya testing out the new EF 200-400mm f4L lens with a mysterious camera body not seen in the market. Many people thought that it is a replacement model for the EOS 7D given the identical body design. blog.apertureacademy.com/2012/01/canon-200-400mm-and-600mm-prototype.htmlLooking at the EOS 5D Mark III at the first sight, it seems to be a hybrid between the EOS 1D X and EOS 7D. The design is based on EOS 7D according to Canon. Are you excited about the new features found in it? Yes, I would but I am not overly too excited. The major complain for the EOS 5 Mark II was the slow response in AF. Canon has listened to the complaint, and thus incorporated the identical AF system from the new flagship camera EOS 1D X. Note that the AF system is not exactly the same as the EOS 1D X. otherwise, who will buy the professional body at US$6,999? Some of the new features : 1) 61 AF points 2) 1x CF and 1x SD card slots 3) 100% Viewfinder coverage 4) 6fps As for mp, it is only 22.3mp. Is that good enough for you? Many are now complaining that it loses out to the new Nikon D800 which is standing at 36mp.
