shutter speed too slow, blurred image, either increase the shutter speed but if its too dark, use flash.

Bro, take note that for the first photo, try not to chop off the little kid legs.
You should also try panning shot for this little kid, and blur out the rest of the background while the little kid stays sharp.

shutter speed too slow, blurred image, either increase the shutter speed but if its too dark, use flash. actually I think using flash wont be a very good idea.The subject's distance from the background is too much for the flash to cover, which will end up with the subject having a different expsure from its background.Making it look unnatural to TS; you could have probaly blurred the background using DOF, and keep the fountain sharp while giving the kid blur.However i would rather had the kid running across the frame instead of to towards you.It looks as if he/she is running towards you, and maybe its my personal preference, but it looks very unnatural.To me, photos of kids should look carefree and natural....so yea.

for the 1st photo, i would prefer if TS would shoot from the other side. the by-stander in the background looks measy. Freeze the kids to have a sharp image of the kid would be better.

I do agree with Deswitch. Keep the kid sharp while blur out the background would be good. Panning does help to achieve the effect.
