As from the thread heading, do not have to much expectations of the photos below hor hahaa.... Did not shot much today, and the thing is for today, is not my camera can't focus, is me myself who can't focus!! haha....today my vision very blur and hands not steady enough when going close to the insects. perhaps is due to not enough sleep or the busy work this week (a lot excuses hor...but i never blame the hot sun leh...) #1 First time trying to shoot flowers, took this while waiting, quite like this one.... #2 There is really no quality to speak of over here....but i like the subject #3 I think of all, i like this the most.

Neo, at least you got to fire a few shots. I am worst. Stayed at the Kranji Dam waiting for the 2 Kingfishers to reappear but in vain. At Khatib Bongsu I, it wasn't better too. I guess that I am here for chatting session and makan. I spotted this fellow on the tree when we arrived at Khatib Bongsu. Am I disturbing them?

Maybe the feeling did not come during Good Friday. When I reached the 1st stop (Kranji), I did not even know what to shoot, keep on wondering around aimlessly..... Did not have any quality pictures that I like during the entire photoshoot. Looks like I need a lot of practice, and also the right equipment. USM, since when you mNanage to shoot the mating flies again?

Neo & USM, dunno its the standard been set by steve is too high or otherwise but i find that you guys need to improve a bit more. Neo, the hopper will be better if its a tad sharper, try to position it parllel with yr cam. BTW, i had never had a chance to see this fella. Boss, USM, control yr lightings, both photos looks blown to me. of course, my standard are also far behind in macros but i will catch up. ;D No photos never mind, i'm sure you guys enjoyed the outing yesterday. Bro, I do agree with you that the picture of the mating flies is over blown. I didn't have the time to set up my exposure properly before they are gone. As for the lizard, it looked perfectly good on my screen. It could be due to the monitor that we are using.

make sure you use 350D in your next shoot... No, bring both the 350D and the 1Dmk2. With 2 bodies, it will be very convenient because no need to change lens so often.

left hand trigger 350D and right hand trigger 1Dmk2.... steady!! hehe 28degree, who do you think Deswitch is? Rambo? Holding on to two rifles, one on each hand? Or the legendary cowboy game entitled "Gunsmoke"? On a side issue, I did ask photographers who are left handed and checked with them, is there any camera which is customised for left handed people and their reply was no. They felt a bit of uneasiness and it is tough for some of them to get used to it.

ha, here's my contribution although it's not considered as macro. it's actually close-up only. my first time shooting among the bushes. from 70-200 @ F8 (i'm not not really good in this field) red dragonfly among the bushes from different angle another one a blue one on the ground
