So Bro, your equipment consists of :
1) EOS 400D body 2) EF-S 18-55mm Kit lens 3) 430EX flash
coming :
4) Battery Grip 5) 2 lenses
Therefore, my question is do you want to travel light or you wanted to carry all of them at one time? There is no one bag that can fit all the situations. Hence, buying 2-3 bags are common due to different situations / needs, etc

I went with the crumpler 7 million as it suited my purpose more.
It carries what I need and I've added a waist belt to support the weight on my walk abouts.
I like it because it doesn't advertise 'expensive camera equipment ~ steal me'. You can also remove the partions to turn it into a day bag when on city breaks.
Its firm, rigid and water proof (just). Its also funky and smart.

Having the same problem as ang79. Presently, using the free Canon EOS bag. (No choice!) Any great suggestion/recommendation? Im using 30D + 1 Kit lens. Most likely will be adding another 1-2 more lens. Flash is not on my must have priority list. Seemed like Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200/D300 AW looks nice. (By the way, i prefer a sling bag) Will be taking the camera for oversea phototaking & currently using a backpack for my travel needs.

yo bro!
afetr so many good suggestions, i finally went for D200AW.
works prefectly fine for me!
my current equipment:
kit lens 50mm 400D body 430ex flash some rubbish!
the only minus point i would say for this bag is that it will tilt to one side when fully pack.
juz my share!
cheers!

for my case, the first bag i got is the lowerpro compu daypack....but i soon sold that off. as it is quite big if i just bring the camera along, it has a laptop compartment and an area for personal stuff.... i went to buy a 6 million bag, and i been using that now... i guess at different outings you just want to bring different kind of bag, sometimes i wish i have a backpack to put in my stuff, is easier to carry around..... you can look for 2nd bags in CS if you dun mind....

I have the LowePro Rezo 180 AW and the Crumpler 6M. 180AW fits well with my 400D + grip, Sigma 105mm, kit lens, another Pentagon 135mm and still have a place for flash. But it won't be sufficient for my 70-200mm so I'm selling it on CS and bought Crumpler 6M. Crumpler turns to be very spacious, I can put all my gear on it + one more extra lens. Moreover, Crumpler 6M looks nicer, and 180AW looks like a box, suitable for reporters only.
I would recommend you buy crumpler rather than 180 AW.

Wah $18 bag, cheap.... but worried about your 1Dmk2 since there is no padding or partitions.
