Yo Mr Ang, too lazy to search through the Internet? Anyway, since a link was provided to you, and I guess that you should have read it, so I shall not go into the definitions, etc. Instead, I would like to highlight certain things that you might be interested in. 1) HSM - Sigma's technology, the Hyper Sonic Motor, which is equavalent to Canon's USM and Nikon SWM technology. 2) EX - Sigma's marketing gimmick name given to the exterior finishing of the lenses. Sigma lenses are well-known that the exterior paint of the lens will peel off over time. I guess that "EX" is of no different. However, I heard that latest batches of Sigma lenses have better QC on the exterior finishing. 3) DG - another marketing name for Sigma large aperture lenses 4) DC - equavalent to Canon EF-S and Nikon DX lenses, i.e. they cannot be used on FF bodies.
