Hello Ang79 I own a canon 28-135 lens, still happy with it. If you getting it remember do some test shot, cause this lens is well known for "zoom creep". One thing I dislike about my 28-135mm is when it fully extent, the front part of the lens is abit shaky.... 28-135 lens to me is not ' effective ' walkabout lens. Effective walkabout lens is having a library of lens Which I can choose from monday to sunday!! (dun you agree) kekeke Hm.. I have a question for you guys. Have your girlfriend or wife ask you before, I am more important or your lens is more important... or what you love?? me or your lens. heeheehee.. ;D ;D ;D hi hi thanks for the reply. totally agree! so what do u think is suitable for a walk about? 17 - 40? i have read about the zoom creep from CS. Hello Ang79. Can't help you much on 17 - 40mm never touch that lens before, also dunno much of the Characteristic, look and feel of that lens. Maybe it depand on what you want to shoot now ba, a landscape or something to zoom far. Well its always best to save more for a better lens. ;D Btw I am aiming at 70 - 200mm IS or Non IS, with 2x Extender! But hor life is unpredictable.. better save save save ba. Hai...

Brand new is around $1,000 new lens about 900 from CP-M....according to CS.... The price might be they are having a promotion at the moment... If I'm not wrong... that lens does not come with the hood. So.. have to spend abit more... for the hood... Cheers
